6 free websites that could shrink your bills (and your stress).

We couldn’t figure out how to sneak coupons into your Sunday edition of the Upworthiest, but we did dig up some digital tricks to save you money.

Ever wondered if that Amazon “deal” really is a deal? One of the tips in this story shows you how to track the price history and get an alert the moment it drops to your sweet spot.

In this roundup by Erik Barnes, you’ll also find the hack that gives you Photoshop-level editing for free. We’ve also found a site that will tell you if you’re overpaying for your car insurance (spoiler alert: you are!), but the same site will then show you how to fix it.

All that and three more you might not have thought of.

Keep This Stock Ticker on Your Watchlist

They’re a private company, but Pacaso just reserved the Nasdaq ticker “$PCSO.”

No surprise the same firms that backed Uber, eBay, and Venmo already invested in Pacaso. What is unique is Pacaso is giving the same opportunity to everyday investors. And 10,000+ people have already joined them.

Created a former Zillow exec who sold his first venture for $120M, Pacaso brings co-ownership to the $1.3T vacation home industry.

They’ve generated $1B+ worth of luxury home transactions across 2,000+ owners. That’s good for more than $110M in gross profit since inception, including 41% YoY growth last year alone.

And you can join them today for just $2.90/share. But don’t wait too long. Invest in Pacaso before the opportunity ends September 18.

Your road trip playlist might be better medicine than Dramamine

In a new study, researchers found that listening to joyful music reduced motion sickness symptoms by a whopping 57%.

As Erik Barnes reports, scientists at Southwest University in China wired up car-sick-prone volunteers with EEG caps, ran them through a driving simulator, and discovered that upbeat music distracted the brain and even activated reward systems that counteracted nausea. (No word on how they made sure that it wasn’t the EEG caps that were helping.)

One researcher noted it could be a “non-invasive, low-cost, and personalized intervention” for travel sickness without the drowsy side effects of meds. Not a fan of joyful music? Read on to see what other genres soothed the stomach.

Bet you can’t get to the end of the list without discovering you’ve been doing something wrong.

It’s comforting to know that even the smartest among us can’t always outsmart a dishwasher. A viral online thread sparked thousands of confessions about the everyday appliances people have been misusing for years, sometimes decades, without realizing it.

From a science teacher who thought fabric softener was laundry detergent, to someone who wasted lint rollers like they were disposable napkins, these stories are equal parts hilarious and humbling. My personal favorite? The poor soul who “preheated” a microwave like an oven.

As Adam Albright-Hanna reports, this collection of oops-moments from the GOOD vault will make you laugh, cringe, and maybe go check your own appliances… just in case.
